Olsen Barn Meadow in Chester
What to bring: Please bring your snow gear. The meadow in winter is a great opportunity for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing—or a walk in sturdy snow boots is always fun too! If you need snowshoes or skis, reach out to Bodfish Bicycles and Quiet Mountain Sports in Chester to see about reserving gear for the day. Please bring snacks and a bag lunch. Warm beverages and cookies will be provided. Help reduce waste by bringing along a mug or travel cup for coffee or tea. Be sure to bring sun protection, warm layers, and water.
Parking & Directions: Participants should park and meet at the Olsen Barn Meadow parking area located off of Highway 36 in Chester. If there is a large snow berm blocking the entrance to the parking lot, please park in the plowed right of way along Highway 36. Be sure park single file and be careful when pulling out onto the Highway after your visit.
This is a free event. Please register below so we know how many people to expect, and so we can contact you if there is inclement weather.
