National Accreditation Renewal
Since 2015, FRLT has been a nationally accredited land trust. Land trust accreditation is a rigorous, third-party evaluation that ensures FRLT, and other accredited lands trusts, meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever. As an accredited land trust, FRLT is required to apply for accreditation renewal every five years to show our commitment to this important work and demonstrate our compliance, improvements, and accomplishments toward best standards and practices.
FRLT is pleased to announce that we are applying for renewal. The public comment period is now open.
During accreditation renewal the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of the applicant’s policies and programs. The Commission invites public input and accepts signed, written comments on pending applications. Comments must relate to how FRLT complies with national quality standards. These standards address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust (read the full list of standards).
To learn more about the accreditation program and to submit a comment, visit www.landtrustaccreditation.org, or email your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org. Comments may also be faxed or mailed to the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, Attn: Public Comments: (fax) 518-587-3183; (mail) 36 Phila Street, Suite 2, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Comments on Feather River Land Trust’s application will be most useful by December 29, 2019.
Thank you for being a valuable member of our land trust community.
