The Development Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and analyzing strategic fundraising activities in support of the annual operations, programs, and long-term financial security needed to advance FRLT’s mission. The Development Director directly supervises a team of three but empowers the entire organization (staff, Board of Directors and community volunteers) to be fundraisers. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Why is this position open? Karen Kleven (Development Director) is retiring at the end of 2018. We have been planning for this big transition and built it into our 2020 Vision and Business Plan. Karen will assist with training for a smooth transition for this important leadership position.
What is a land trust? Land trusts are nonprofit organizations working in local communities to conserve natural areas, parks, farmlands, wildlife corridors, and open space for the public’s benefit. These protected lands enhance the local economy, provide educational opportunities, and improve environmental and public health. Feather River Land Trust is a nationally accredited land trust.
