Plein Air Painting Club
Third Saturday of Each Month
10am to 4pm
Sierra Valley Preserve Nature Center
On the third Saturday of every month, you are welcome to come join in your own exploration of the headwaters of the Feather River, and painting Plein Air—all mediums welcome. Our intention in starting the Paint Plein Air Club at the Sierra Valley Preserve & Nature Center is to bring artists together who are inspired by our amazing local beauty—be it mountain, meadows, marshes, wildlife, weather, sunsets, sunrises, night stars, barns, trains, or anything viewed in the surrounding areas.
As artists, we are all uniquely talented, perceive our environment in unique ways. As we paint together, we learn from our surroundings and each other, collaborating on many levels of enjoyment and creativity. Come join in your own exploration of the headwaters of the Feather River by painting with the Paint Plein Air Club.

About the Sierra Valley Preserve and Nature Center
Since 2003, the Feather River Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, and the Northern Sierra Partnership have worked together to create the Sierra Valley Preserve: 2,575 acres of protected land in California’s largest mountain valley. This biodiversity hotspot is at the headwaters of the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork Feather River and a key stop along the Pacific Flyway.
With tremendous community support, we have established the Sierra Valley Preserve Nature Center as a hub for nature-based recreation and learning where visitors and locals alike can experience the wonders of Sierra Valley’s beauty, cultural richness, and incredible biodiversity. The new Nature Center and facilities include interactive exhibits, new interpretive trails and picnic areas, and year-round educational programs and activities.
