Please join the Feather River Land Trust in an extraordinary opportunity to conserve 75,000 acres of globally unique wetlands, meadows, and forests in the Feather River Watershed over the next 5 years.

The Feather River Watershed is the largest watershed in the Sierra Nevada and its intermountain valleys form the headwaters of the California State Water Project, a source of freshwater for more than 20 million Californians.

Home to rural communities, 300+ wildlife species, and breathtaking vistas, this little-known area of northeastern California is important to all people who care about: clean and plentiful water, open space where wildlife thrives, and children experiencing nature.

Founded in 2000 by local residents, Feather River Land Trust (FRLT) conserves lands that are most vulnerable to development and degradation—montane meadows and unique wetlands. To date, we have conserved 47,240 acres of private lands that support outstanding biodiversity, waterways, working ranches, recreation, children’s outdoor learning, and spectacular scenery.

FRLT now has the unprecedented opportunity to conserve an additional 75,000 acres of strategically important lands. With willing landowners, partners, and land protection funding in place, this landscape-scale conservation opportunity may not come again.

To bring this vision into reality, we are asking you to partner with us and contribute to FRLT’s 2020 Vision for a healthy, prosperous watershed. With your help, we will raise $1,000,000 in FY 2017-18 to scale-up and grow FRLT’s organizational capacity to successfully conserve, steward, and connect people to these priority lands and habitats.

Donors who give $1,000+ become members of FRLT's Vision Circle. Please consider a gift at the following level:

  • Feather River Steward $1,000 - $4,999
  • Feather River Protector $5,000 - $9,999
  • Feather River Advocate $10,000 - $24,999
  • Feather River Leader $25,000 - $49,999
  • Feather River Champion $50,000+

This is an unparalleled opportunity to make lasting change for our children and grandchildren.
